The Amherst Center for Senior Services offers thoughtfully designed amenities that support active aging, creativity, and meaningful social connection. Located in Amherst, NY, our Center provides welcoming, accessible spaces where older adults can relax, learn, and thrive. The Amherst Center for Senior Services is a 53,000 square foot facility that includes:
ART GALLERY
Our on-site art gallery celebrates the creativity of our members and local artists. This inviting space features rotating exhibits, allowing members and visitors to enjoy paintings, photography, and mixed-media artwork.
Ashbury Pointe sponsors the Art Gallery.
CAFE (Under Construction)
A new café is being built in the front of the building.

BILLIARD ROOM
There are four tables in the Billiard Room as well as a sitting area. Billiard equipment is available in the room.
Tables are first-come, first-service.
CARD ROOM
Our card room can accommodate up to 100 seated players at a time. We offer Card Clubs and Open Cards. This information is located in our newsletter.
COMPUTER LAB
Our Computer Lab has two (2) computers and is available when class is not in session. Included: Internet and Job Access With Speech (JAWS) computer screen reader for the visually impaired.
New Cafe Coming Soon!
We’re thrilled to share that renovations for our new cafe, located in the former Craft Room, are nearly finished! This beautiful new space is designed to be a welcoming spot for the community to gather, relax, and enjoy delicious food and beverages.
As of June 2025, the Town of Amherst has officially issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) for a cafe operator. If you're interested in becoming a part of this exciting new chapter or have questions about the RFP process, please reach out directly to the Town of Amherst for more information.
