The Amherst Center for Senior Services offers thoughtfully designed amenities that support active aging, creativity, and meaningful social connection. Located in Amherst, NY, our Center provides welcoming, accessible spaces where older adults can relax, learn, and thrive. The Amherst Center for Senior Services is a 53,000-square-foot facility that includes:
ART GALLERY
Our on-site art gallery celebrates the creativity of our members and local artists. This inviting space features rotating exhibits, allowing members and visitors to enjoy paintings, photography, and mixed-media artwork.
Ashbury Pointe sponsors the Art Gallery.
BILLIARD ROOM
There are four tables in the Billiard Room as well as a sitting area. Billiard equipment is available in the room.
Tables are first-come, first-service.
BOXING ROOM
The latest edition to the Center is our Boxing Room funded by a New York State Office of Aging grant secured by Assemblymember Karen McMahon.
We offer a Boxing with Parkinson's Program for individiuals living with Parkinson's Disease and similiar movement disorders. We also provide a Boxing Fitness Class which is open to the entire membership.

CARD ROOM
Our card room can accommodate up to 100 seated players at a time.
We offer Card Clubs and Open Cards.

A new café is being built in the front of the building.

New Cafe Coming Soon!
We’re thrilled to share that renovations for our new cafe, located in the former Craft Room, are nearly finished! This beautiful new space is designed to be a welcoming spot for the community to gather, relax, and enjoy delicious food and beverages.
JULY 2026: The Town of Amherst has officially issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) for a cafe operator.
