Brian Bray is the Director of the Center. He joined the organization in June 2020. Prior to his position with the Center, Brian spent his career working in local government for Erie County and the City of Buffalo. He has earned a bachelor’s degree from University at Buffalo and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Hilbert College. He is currently working towards the completion of his doctoral degree from Westchester University. As the Baby Boomer Generation retires, Brian sees a tremendous opportunity to serve older adults by developing new programs and enhancing existing structures. Brian leads the overall direction of the Center.
Melissa Abel is the Center’s Deputy Director. She joined the organization in January 2001 as a Program Leader. She was promoted to Program Coordinator and later to Senior Program Coordinator, prior to her promotion to Deputy Director. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Health and Human Services from the University at Buffalo with an emphasis on Social Gerontology. She is certified in CPR and Mental Health First Aid. Melissa ensures that each member of the Center is treated fairly and respectfully and is committed to enhance the active aging process within the membership. Melissa oversees all direct-member engagement.
